The "Fido Firework" and Tito's Vodka Swag Giveaway
Well, the day of loud noises that scare the bejesus out of our dogs and other companion animals is upon us. Happy Independence Day everyone! We don’t have any crazy plans for this year’s Fourth of July. We will be hanging at home, eating Chinese, and chilling with the dogs. A chilled adult beverage is also likely going to be a part of the mix (I know you’re shocked by this revelation). Read further for recipe information for the “Fido Firework,” made with Tito’s Vodka. I will also be sharing information about a different Tito’s rescue story and giving you a chance to win a swag box full of fun prizes from Tito’s too!
First things first, let’s get that refreshing drink in your hands, stat! The "Fido Firework" is pretty simple. You’ll need to assemble: Tito’s Vodka, Blueberries, simple syrup, either strawberries or watermelon and seltzer or tonic water and ice. You can download and print the recipe below.
STELLA - A TITO'S VODKA RESCUE STORY
About 10 years ago, a stray dog wandered onto the Tito's Handmade Vodka distillery property along with a pack of other feral dogs. She was given some food and, shortly afterwards, surprised Tito's staff by delivering a litter of seven puppies!
My friend, Elizabeth Bellanti from the Tito's Vodka marketing team recalls that "Stella," was a great mom, who would bring a cup around to staff members to fill with water, even though she and the puppies had a bowl. As with many of the dogs who wind up on the Tito's property, the dogs that arrived were in rough shape. Tito's helped to take care of their medical needs and make sure all the dogs were well cared for.

The arrival of the puppies coincided with the 10th anniversary of Tito selling his first case of vodka. The company hosted a big party to celebrate and all of the puppies were adopted by friends or employees at Tito's Vodka! In fact, Elizabeth adopted Stella, who had a long road of recovery ahead of her (for treatment of heart worm and mange). Along the way, she also learned how to become a pet, which was interesting to watch, according to Elizabeth's recounting of Stella's story. She learned by watching the older dogs that were near her and never really need formal training.
She has since starred in many Tito's photo shoots, and has gotten a lot of press coverage over the years. She was even featured in a Nutro Pet Food Commercial! How cool! Stella is now about 12 years old, but enjoys wrestling with a not so tiny (70 pounds) Catahoula dog sibling.
I respect the Tito's team so much for their dedication to the dogs in their community. I love hearing these stories and can't wait to hear even more down the road.
I hope you enjoy the fancy new patriotic drink! Enter below for a chance to win some fun swag from Tito's Handmade Vodka including some bandannas, a leash, a calendar, and a dog bowl!
